Why 30W?

As aviators we are taught about risk from our first flight. This risk never leaves, but as professionals we mitigate risk to an acceptable level. 30W Aviation Consultants is named for the meridian of 30 degrees West longitude - a line in the Atlantic Ocean and often the halfway point in a transatlantic crossing from North America to Europe (specifically Gander and Shanwick Air Traffic Centers). It is at this longitude, 30W, that as aviators we cross into a new airspace and continue to the other shore -  accepting the residual mitigated new risks. 30W is safety risk mitigation, exemplified.
